Ottawa-Carleton Lifeskills Inc is a not-for-profit, charitable organization that provides community support and services to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. We offer more than many years of experience, highly trained staff, and programs that make OCL an ideal choice for those looking for a caring facility that offers an array of respite options to individuals in four programs: residential, Supported Independent Living, Home Share, and Community Participation Support. In addition to our day program, OCL has a variety of respite programs available that can provide short-term or long-term care for people who are unable to live independently at home due to a medical condition or disability. Residents take advantage of our programs by sharing their homes with other residents in the community who have similar needs and interests as they do. Our staff members are trained in providing personal support such as meal preparation and laundry while helping each resident develop further skills so they may live more independently in their own homes or apartments when they are ready.
