Roku Select Series: 65R5C5CA Review
Here’s a cleaned-up, more professional and complete rewrite of your article while keeping your original points, adding clarity, and fixing grammar. I’ve also filled in a few details for flow and accuracy.
Roku Select Series 65″ (2025 Model: 65R5C5CA)
We recently purchased the new 2025 Roku Select Series 65-inch television (Model number: 65R5C5CA) and spent time testing its performance. Here’s what we found.
Picture Quality
Unfortunately, the picture quality was disappointing. Colors appeared washed out, with an overall pale and ghostly look. At times, there was a noticeable delay between the audio and video — the sound would play first, and the image would appear moments later.
The resolution quality felt closer to old, low-definition footage from the late 1990s rather than a modern 4K television. In addition, the image had a persistent blue tint that could not be fully corrected through the TV’s settings.
While HDR can be adjusted, it cannot be completely disabled, which may contribute to the overly cool and unnatural color tones.
Audio Quality
The built-in speakers produce audio that is serviceable but unimpressive. It’s not the worst we’ve heard, but it certainly falls short of delivering a rich, full sound experience. For a better experience, external speakers or a soundbar are recommended.
Internet Connectivity
Ethernet (10/100):
We achieved a maximum speed of 88 Mbps using a wired Ethernet connection.
Wi-Fi 5:
Surprisingly, Wi-Fi performed better, reaching speeds of 270 Mbps.
Our Experience
We initially thought the poor picture quality and audio delay might be due to a defective unit, so we returned the television and exchanged it for another one. Unfortunately, the replacement had the exact same issues, confirming it was not an isolated defect.
Conclusion
We cannot recommend the 2025 Roku Select Series 65-inch television at this time due to its subpar image quality and persistent audio/video sync problems. While a future firmware update may address some of these concerns, in its current state it is not a good purchase — regardless of how affordable it becomes.
Current price (as of review): $643.74 CAD
